The food is hot, tasty, juicy, fresh! the staff is great. the cook is just 100/100. Presence of a lot of cars in the parking lot always speaks for itself! people love this place for the atmosphere, comfort, the opportunity to quickly and tasty eat in the fresh air. the best in New Hampshire!
Great food! Hubby had a cheeseburger and fresh made onion rings, I had the clam strip roll, with fries. Everything was excellent. "Old timey" atmosphere is fun and no frills, just plain good food, reasonable pricing. We wished we'd saved room for dessert because the pies looked amazing! We would have loved to see this place in its heyday when it first opened back in the 50's!

The BEST chicken fingers and frappes around! Called about 5 minutes before we got there and we waited another 5 for our food. It was, as always, delicious. My mocha frappe must have been delicious as I had 1 sip, it disappeared, and then I saw my husband throw it in the trash! Highly, highly recommend Goldenrod!
Ice cream was amazing as usual and servings almost too big to handle which is better than the alternative. I got a medium with mango and watermelon, both of which were fantastic and she got a peanut butter fudge with chocolate sprinkles. Not my cup of tea, but she assures me it is delicious. Service was fast and came with a smile. Probably not fair, but I marked down atmosphere only because I’m bitter about the fact I was attacked by mosquitoes that could have filled roles as pterodactyls on Jurassic Park. Highly recommend and I will definitely go back. If you hadn’t had them, make sure you get their chicken tenders sometime.
Absolutely delishious! Great place for ice cream and fried seafood. It's one of my favorite spots! Their 60ish years of history speaks for itself!
We were looking for ice-cream and this restaurant did not disappoint. Portion to price was not the best but our ice-cream did taste good . Service was great and my friend, she was offered a sample to the flavor she wanted. Soft Serve is available but not on the menu. I have tried Pumpkin Oreo , Rocky Road, regular Oreo and Mint Chip, my son, Hood Soft Serve Chocolate and regular chocolate and my friend, Black Raspberry with hot fudge. We all enjoyed our ice-creams and the seating inside. I was told that Hood Soft Serve is seasonal. I am going to recommend Goldenrod Restaurant for ice-cream and I hope to return to try their food.
